This afternoon was my 36 week checkup. Dr. W. checked to see if I was dilated...nope! Not at all. This is not a surprise or a disappointment. I never dilate before I go into labor.
Everything continues to look good. Baby is now head down, yea! A few short weeks and we will be able to hold and love on our new little one. Bill said last night that he kinda wishes we would opt to be induced. He doesn't like this waiting game. It is hard for him too. He is worried that I will go into labor while he is at work (over an hour away)...and what if he doesn't make it in time for the baby? We do have a back up plan in that case. Lucy has agreed to go with me to the hospital and be with me when I give birth if need be. If that were to happen, hopefully she would still remain friends, as I act like a crazy person when in labor...hee hee! :) Anyway, I am guessing that it will all work out and Bill will make it. I am not worried about it. I know that God has everything under control. He knows exactly what is going to happen and what day it will take place.
If you think of it, please be in prayer for me. I have started getting anxiety about giving birth. I don't want to feel anxious and nervous. Please pray for peace, and that I will rest in the fact that God will give me the strength to get through it.

Thanks for update! Obviously you figured something out with having the kids at the appt. Did you ask about the thyroid test? Had lots of fun last night!
I had Anna and Ryan sit behind the small curtain while Dr W. did the exam. :)
I forgot to ask about the thyroid test. He seems in a hurry and I couldn't seem to remember everything I wanted to talk to him about. Oh well. I go back in next week.
Your nursery looks great! I will be praying for you about the birth!
I can't remember if you told me this or if it was someone else - I think it was you. I printed out a few helpful Bible verses in a really crazy font and while I was in labor the verses were hanging on the wall. I could read them and concentrate on them (well, actually, the font was a little too crazy, so I concentrated on figuring out what each letter was! Hahahaha) Maybe working on selecting some special Bible verses just for you in labor would keep your mind busy from being anxious. I'll be praying for you. Only a little longer and you'll be able to hold your precious baby!!!
you'll be just fine!!! not much longer! hang in their girl! don't induce! God is in control! you need not try and take over... :)
find peace in knowing that!
~thinking of you
I will be praying for you, and please remember I am only 5 min away...so I can come sit with the kid's or pick them up anytime if needed.
She's almost here...can't wait to meet her :)
